The first non-profit is the
‘Princess Bajrakitiyabha Foundation’,
under the patronage of HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha
Mahidol. They work more with local regions that
do not generate outside assistance. Thus far,
the Princess Bajrakitiyabha Foundation has built
114 prefab houses as well as distributed 10,000
survival kits and bottled drinking water to the
affected people. The foundation's volunteers have
also been preparing foods for distribution to
people in the area. The Foundation is also involved
in the caring (such as the rehabilitation of mental
and physical health) of orphans and elderly people
affected by the tsunami.
Donations for ‘Princess Bajrakitiyabha
Foundation’ were collected from numerous
individuals in the local Thai Community in New
York and Americans nationwide. (A complete list
can be requested, and receipts will be mailed
out.)
